Parrot Care
When caring for parrots it is important to know that not all parrots
are the same. Parrots make wonderful pets, but they also require lots
of work and attention. Some parrots are easier to care for than others,
so which kind of parrot you choose depends on how much space and time
you have.
Many parrots are very affectionate with trusted people, and have need
for a lot of attention from their owners, training a parrot to do
tricks is a great way to form a bond. Most parrots have their own
unique personalities, and are extremely intelligence. Some species have
a tendency to bond to one or two people, and dislike strangers
Your parrots' needs and what you should know about;
o feeding your parrot the right food
o having the right size cage
o the cage should be cleaned daily
o to be able to give full and total attention,
o toys, and know which one is best
o knowing where to place the bird's cage
o veterinary care
o training
o exercise, and social interaction
Getting the right nutrition is very important. Most parrots' diets
consist of vitamin enrich parrot seed mix, nuts, fruit, buds and other
plant material, and a few species also eat insects and small animals
and of course water; their diets may vary with each species and the
activity level of the individual parrot.

Parrot care is a lot more involved than giving them water and having
some seed in their cage. Poor nutrition is the most harmful cause of
illness in most parrots. A parrot that's suffering from vitamin and
mineral deficiency has a weakened immune system and is susceptible to
many diseases and ailments, not to mention behavior problems.
It is very important to keep parrots' cages clean. Things that would
not bother humans at all can kill a bird instantly for example aerosol
sprays are deadly for birds. Although you see parrots kissing or
putting their beaks in their owners mouth all the time this is not a
good habit, the human saliva contains bacteria which could harmful to
parrots.

The size of the cage is critical, parrots need to be in a cage at least
large enough to allow the bird to spread its wings and move about
comfortably. Larger parrots can be destructive and require a very large
cage, and a regular supply of new toys, branches, or other items to
keep them occupied. All birds need toys, because your bird will be in a
cage much of the time, toys provide entertainment and activity. Not
having toys could lead to bored, depression, and behavior problems in
your pet bird. However, not all bird toys made are appropriate for
every bird.
Parrots are social animals, they like company so their cages should be
placed in an area where the families spend a lot of their time so they
can be to interactive with the bird. Select a spot close to a wall, out
of drafts, and in a room where there's a lot of traffic.
Just feeding your parrot healthy food is not enough they also require
good grooming skills such as cutting their nails, giving them a daily
bath or at least a daily mist to keep their feathers in good condition.
Some parrots will probably need their beaks clipped ever month.
One of the hardest things about owning a pet bird is learning how to
deal with its wings, to prevent flight their wings need to be clipped.
Trimming a bird's wings is something that should always be done by a
professional such as a parrot breeder or a veternarian.. You should not
assume that you can figure out how to do it on your own, because if you
don't do it correctly, you can damage that bird forever, and might even
cause it to die. When clipping the wings you just trim a bird's main
flight feathers.

Parrots can require a lot of care and attention. Sometimes, no matter
how well you care for your pet bird, his or her health may simply
suffer. Make sure that you are providing the best home possible. The
important thing is to look after your bird when he or she is sick to
help your bird heal and become well again as soon as possible.

Find other ZORGIUM pages using your favorite search engine:
Enter your search keyword(s) and the keyword "zorgium" into the search input field of
http://bing.com,
http://yahoo.com or
http://google.com.
Heads up: There's an ongoing spamdexing of Google searchbot algorithms. Sites that are 'copies of copies' and cloaked sites which include Zorgium keywords presented to search engine crawlers yet garbage content presented to human visitors were hosted on thousands of IP addresses and domains registered immediately after the introduction of Zorgium in November of 2009. The Hostgator/'The Planet'/Softlayer datacenters in Texas seem to be the epicenter of this activity in conjunction with anonymously registered domains of various TLD's but primarily .info domains at Godaddy which, in our opinion, has some sort of connection to the domains of goldmint.in and goldmint.org. Google has begun to notice this and has begun to lower the ranking of these sites and put our original sites back on top of the search rankings. These actions, as far as we can tell, negatively impact the use of the keyword 'zorgium' as a search term and provided little benefit, if any, to the perpetrators.
ZORGIUM note to content providers: If you don't want your page to appear in Zorgium's search abstraction then put an exclusion for "Zorgium" in your web server's robots.txt file.
